Let's get one thing straight before we get into the legal stuff: I'm not in the business of hoarding your personal information like some dragon sitting on a pile of gold. I'm in the business of helping you understand your gut-brain connection. That's it.
But the internet being what it is, I still have to tell you exactly what happens when you hand over your name and email — so here's the no-nonsense version.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you opt in for the free guide, buy the checklist, or enroll in any Brain-Gut Connection program, we collect:
Your name (so I know who I'm talking to — "Hey You" gets old fast)
Your email address (so I can actually send you the thing you asked for)
Payment information (if you buy something — handled by our payment processor, not stored by us directly. We never see your full card number. We're gut-brain nerds, not hackers.)
Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) — the standard stuff every website collects, mostly so we can see which pages are working and which ones need help.
We do not collect your social security number, your blood type, or your deepest fears. Unless you email those to us voluntarily, in which case, that's on you.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFO

To send you the free guide, checklist, or program you actually asked for
To send you our newsletter (which you can leave anytime — no guilt trips, see our unsubscribe page)
To process your purchase and deliver what you paid for
To improve our content based on what people actually read and click
To occasionally let you know about a new offer, because that's how a business stays in business
Here's what we don't do: sell your information to some data broker so you start getting emails about extended car warranties. We're not doing that. Ever.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We use a small number of trusted third-party tools to run this operation — email delivery, payment processing, and marketing automation. These providers see your data only to the extent necessary to do their job (send the email, process the payment, keep the newsletter running). They don't get to use it for their own purposes, and we vet every tool we plug into this business.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Full stop.
COOKIES
Our website uses cookies — small text files that help the site remember things like whether you've seen a popup already, and help us understand which pages are working. Nothing sinister. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you want, though some parts of the site might get a little cranky about it.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
Unsubscribe from our emails at any time (there's a link at the bottom of every single one)
Request a copy of the personal data we have on file for you
Request deletion of your data (email [email protected] and we'll take care of it)
Correct any information that's wrong (we're human, mistakes happen)
We'll respond to any of these requests within a reasonable time — typically within 30 days.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Brain-Gut Connection is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you're a parent and you believe your child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable steps to protect your information using industry-standard security practices. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. We do our best. We treat your data the way we'd want our own treated.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date at the top. We won't bury changes in fine print or pretend they didn't happen. If it's a meaningful change, we'll let our list know.
